What We Do

The Bar Method’s signature technique is the fastest and most efficient way to reshape the entire body. Precise isometric exercises keep students working “in the muscle,” followed by active and passive stretching to lengthen and elongate the area just worked. The result is a graceful, strong dancer-like body, including sculpted arms, flat abs, a lifted seat and elongated thighs, as well as improved posture and body alignment. The fast pace of the class spikes the heart rate at different intervals to burn calories not just in the classroom, but long after. Students see remarkable results within just a few weeks.

The Bar Method technique stands apart because it is safe, smart and personal. It was created under the guidance of physical therapists to ensure it is safe and effective for students spanning a wide range of abilities including those with physical limitations and injuries. Unlike other barre workouts, our instructors undergo a lengthy and rigorous training that includes lessons of anatomy and hands-on adjustments. Annual certification exams ensure the highest standards are upheld across the entire teaching community. Bar is the first workout that I have done that I have been able to stick with and actually look forward to. I love that every class is challenging no matter how long you have been coming. Bar Method has impacted my life in the most positive way. I was always an active person throughout my life but when I started my first job in 2013 I packed on the pounds immediately. Over the last couple years I struggled trying to diet/exercise and lose the weight but failed every time that I tried. I was really starting to lose hope but during the first week of this past January when I was walking home from the path I passed the Bar Method studio and an advertisement for a 30 day unlimited class special. I decided that that I would give this a try and see how it goes. I took my first class with Marisa and had such a good time! I felt really welcomed to the studio and very comfortable during class. I was really excited to take the next class and ended up buying the unlimited monthly package after my first 30 days were up. Here I am today almost a year later nearly 200 classes in and 40+lbs lighter.
